Assists Gas-Leak Inspector (pipe lines; utilities) in locating
and detecitng leaks in underground and exposed pipelines:
Carries testing equipment and handtools to and from vehicle to
test Internet site. Places barricades and sfaety signs at test area and
directs traffic to protect workers and public. Measures
distances of leak from referecne point, using rule or tape, and
records data, such as instrument readings in survey report.
Assists in performing temporary repairs, using handtolos.
May
drive vehicle equipped with detection devices along inspection
route. Performs other duties as descriebd under Helper (any
industry) Master Title.
